Steve is down 10 pounds and has lost 2 inches off of his waist! His buddies say, "You look cut!"

Steve says, "I've seen the most definition in my shoulders, the largest weight increase in the leg press (up to 400 pounds now), and a huge improvement in my core strength."
Steve Pirotta doesn't have time to waste. He owns a successful tax business, plays softball three nights a week, and spends any down time with his wife. At age 60, he also wants to stay competitive on the diamond. One of the softball leagues he plays in is a 50+ league. The other, which his two sons also play in, is mostly younger guys half his age. "I see guys getting injured all the time. I wanted to stay in shape and avoid injuries, play at a competitive level, and have stamina for when we play five games in a weekend." Steve had read about slow-motion strength training years ago, and tried to replicate it on his own. He actually lives in a retirement community that has a gym on the premises. The problem was he didn't have all the right equipment there, and it's an overly social environment where people like to sit around on the machines and talk. "I was sold on the concept of slow-motion strength training, I just didn't know there was a place where you could do it," he says.
So when he saw an ad for The Perfect Workout in the mail, he jumped on it. "They had the machines to do it, plus very efficient, supervised training. It was the whole package, and you can knock it all out in 20 minutes." He didn't have a gut or need to lose weight, but admits that he was maybe a bit soft. Six months into it, he could already see the changes. He went from 185 pounds to 175, a 34-inch waist to 32, same as he was in high school, and added a lot of muscle mass, all without changing one thing in his diet. It was all due to The Perfect Workout. He's seen the most definition in his shoulders, largest weight increase in the leg press (up to 400 pounds now), and a huge improvement in his core strength. That translates to greater torque, which means he's hitting both the softball and golf ball harder. Best of all, he's been completely injury-free since starting at the San Jose studio in 2013.
"The biggest piece of the puzzle is the one-on-one training," says Steve. "My personal trainer Southwest San Jose, Sean, pushes me and makes sure I do each exercise properly. He gets the most out of me on those sessions. On your own, you won't push yourself the same way. We're not conditioned to do that. The value is in the trainer." Now that he's proven he can stay competitive with the younger guys, and avoid injuries so common with the older guys, he has no plans to stop. "I want to play until I'm 70. More than just playing the game, I'm competitive. I want to play at a high level. If I could stay like this for the next 10 years, I'd be really happy." With slow-motion strength training as his secret weapon, no doubt he will. As he says, "Anyone who's 50 or older would really benefit from The Perfect Workout. It's going to add more health to your life."
